A Healthy, Easy Recipe

Here is the recipe we hoped to share with you in our Facebook post a few days ago. Thanks to our awesome patient for sharing it with us and you!


Homemade Aussie Bites

1 c. coconut oil

1/2 c. honey

3 ½ c. rolled oats

½ c. dried apricots

½ c. ground flaxseed

½ c. raw sunflower seeds

½ c. unsweetened coconut

½ c. cooked quinoa

4 Tbsp. ground chia seeds

½ tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. Cinnamon

1 c. walnuts

½ c. applesauce

1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter two 24 count muffin tins. Melt together the coconut oil and honey. Set aside. Put 1 c. rolled oats into food processor and process until oats are pulverized, about 1 min. Add remaining oats and dry ingredients and pulse until well blended. Pour in honey and oil and add applesauce and vanilla. Pulse until combined. Press into muffin tins and bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan. Store in airtight container for 4-5 days. These freeze well!
